Introduction

  • The following is a curated list of online resources to help you make the most of your time in the Sixth Form

Office Software

  • The School's licensing agreements do not allow us to provide free copies of MS Office for students to use at home. There are a number of zero-cost options that will allow you to work outside of school:
    • Microsoft Office Online - Microsoft's free, web-based versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc
    • LibreOffice - An open-source suite of installable software, including a word processor, spreadsheet and presentation software. Compatible with MS Office
    • Apple iCloud - A browser-based version of Apple's iWork productivity software, featuring Pages, Keynote and Numbers. Compatible with MS Office
    • Google Docs - Google's online-based productivity suite, compatible with MS Office

Connectivity Tools

  • BGS email - Pick up your school email address from anywhere in the World, via a web-browser
  • BGS Remote File access - Download and upload to your H: drive and the Open Drive via a web-browser
  • BYOD setup guide - Instructions on how to set up your mobile device to pick up School emails and calendar items
  • Dropbox - Like a 2Gb USB stick on the web. Free online storage to move files between home, mobile and school
