Summer Term

  • Start researching and choosing your course
  • Write the first draft of your personal statement
  • Register with UCAS and begin your online application

September

  • Applications open
  • Your teachers and Tutor write your School Reference

15 October

  • Admissions deadline for Oxbridge, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary

October to November

  • Admissions Tests (where relevant). Make sure you register with Mrs Elliot in early September if you need to take one of these tests.

October to March

  • Interviews start
  • Offers: Conditional, unconditional or unsuccessful

January

  • 25 January is the on-time deadline for UCAS applications, other than some Art and Design courses

February

  • UCAS Extra opens

March

  • Deadline for some Art and Design courses
  • Apply for Student Finance

May to June

  • A-Level exams

August

  • Exam results
  • Clearing

September to October

  • University (or gap year) begins
